Remodeling

Making an investment in your home by updating it can be a great way to not only improve its value but to make it more enjoyable for your family.  Updating kitchens and baths, replacing windows, updating siding, building a new deck, or finishing a lower level can be great ideas to improve your home.

Price...

Whether you are updating your home or building a new home, don't make selections based on the cheapest price or lowest bid.  Do you choose a doctor based on the lowest price?  Of course not.  The investment in your home is too important to take chances with.  That's why Preferred Homes Inc. has fair, honest, upfront pricing.  You are dealing with a team of professionals who care about you and your home.

How much should my lot cost...?

Of course, that depends on where it is located and what type of home you are looking to build.  But, a general guideline is that your building site should cost no more that 20% of the total cost of your home and lot combined.

How much per square foot for a new home...?

Using cost per square foot is ineffective for pricing  and misleading.  For example, a 2000 sq ft home with vinyl siding will not cost the same to build as one with all brick on the exterior.   The most effective way is doing a complete estimate based upon your living style, design preferences, and budget.

Bath Remodel

Quick Tip:

Replacing the flooring and sink top can be a great way to give your bath a new look.  Standard bath vanities are 21" deep so you can gain floor space by using an 18" deep vanity without sacrificing too much storage.

Minor Kitchen Remodel...

Want to give your kitchen a facelift without doing a major remodel?  Replacing your kitchen countertops can instantly update the look and feel of your kitchen!

Major Kitchen Remodel...

Give new life to an old kitchen.  If you enjoy your current layout, update the flooring, countertops and cabinetry.
